How to prepare successfully for the new school year?

Summer vacation has come to an end… And the beginning of the new school year is approaching! Each new school year a new opportunity begins to achieve a year full of success, excellence, and progress in various aspects of our children’s lives. Here are some tips on how to prepare for study and preparations for the beginning of the new school year effectively and successfully.

Get Back to school routine

Your kid’s lifestyle during summer vacation is different from school days, so you should prepare your son/daughter for the change in the lifestyle: from a late bedtime routine to waking up early gradually until he is fully prepared to wake up at school time with an energetic and active mood.

In addition to the time they spend playing video games or on the Internet or watching TV, it is preferable to gradually reduce the duration of these activities and increase the times of activities that stimulate the child’s mind and retrieve his academic information in the form of entertaining games or competitions.

Set specific goals

Setting goals and planning daily tasks is a very sufficient way to develop a successful and outstanding child throughout his life. This strategy prepares our children to take responsibility and develop a sense of control over their lives and have a greater ability to complete the required tasks faster and more efficiently.

Planning also helps to increase the time for fun, relaxation, and a sense of happiness of achievement, especially when your child sees his specified daily goals accomplished, as it is a great sign that will make him feel proud of himself and encourage him to accomplish more tasks.

Study room decorations

It may seem a simple thing, but it is pivotal in the proper preparation for successful new school year, as the place plays a major role in the psychological comfort of the child and prepares him for the next stage, a and helps to provide a comfortable atmosphere that encourages studying, productivity and creativity.

So be sure to decorate your child’s room before school starts by preparing the school table and placing it in a suitable place, and completely avoiding studying on the floor or on the bed.

You should also take into consideration the location of the bed, while avoiding it being opposite the study table so he doesn’t feel drowsy or fall asleep as soon as he starts studying, and don’t forget to install the proper lighting that makes the vision clear and encouraging.
