Magraya: The Best Curriculum for Preschool Preparations

Parents always want the best for their kids, and the best means the best ways to bring them up, the best ways to teach them right from wrong, and the best ways to toughen them up to face the challenges and struggles of life. This is why the hardest mission for every parent is developing an educational method that makes sure they have a stable kid on so many levels; mentally, physically, and sociologically.

Educational Methods

Plato’s Definition of Education: The purpose of education is to give to the body and to the soul all the beauty and all the perfection of which they are capable.

Refaa Al Tahtawy’s Definition of Education: It’s the base that builds the child’s manners, a manner that suits a utopian society, where all the good deeds shield this child from the vices around, to make him capable of putting people before him.

Sati’ al-Husri’s Definition of Education: Upbringing is raising a physically strong child, who owns good manners, thinks right, patriotic, has a great understanding of his duties, and is well-educated enough to face life.

Ismail al-Qabbani’s Definition of Education: It’s what helps every individual to achieve self-fulfillment so they can reach the top of the financial and spiritual pyramid.

Harbert Spenser’s Definition of Education: It’s how you prepare an individual for life.

John Dewey’s Definition of Education: It’s life, and how the adaptation of an individual and their environment goes.

What is Magraya Curriculum for Preschool Preparations?

It’s an intensive curriculum designed to prepare kids on an educational, and pedagogic level from age 3-5 years old. It was first released in 2018, and it focuses on three main educational philosophies:

  • The Montessori Education.
  • The Waldorf Education.
  • The Mayson Education.

The Magraya Curriculum depends on developing the child’s senses and skills on so many levels, such as the psychological, educational, mental, and physical aspects all at the same time. These aspects aim to prepare the child to join the school life later on, with a highly developed brain, and a bag full of useful skills that will ease the educational process for them. The Magraya Curriculum challenges both the student and teacher, since it gives them new learning and teaching techniques to follow, such as:

  1. Learning via scissors.
  2. Learning via Drama.
  3. Learning via entertainment.

And each curriculum divides into 4 scientific subjects, and 4 activities:

  1. Logic & Mathematics.
  2.  The Science of the Universe.
  3. Linguistics.
  4. Handmade Activities.
  5. Environmental Knowledge Activities.
  6. Library Activities.
  7. Scientific Activities.

Montessori Education

Maria Montessori is a doctor and teacher that developed her own teaching method that mixes entertainment with education “Edutainment”. So, instead of memorizing loads of educational material, and studying for hours daily, Maria decided to follow the experimental, and observing curriculum. She believed that this way is more beneficial for the children’s mental and physical development and will help them be well-educated and more ready for life.

After mixing fun with learning, Maria explained that her educational philosophy is totally based on entertainment to help children absorb heavy information in a light way of learning, helping kids to get a proper education without feeling the burden of the routine learning process.

Waldorf Education
An Austrian Writer and Philosopher, who invented the anthropology philosophy which aimed to unlock the secrets of the universe and understand human beings.

The Waldorf education, also known as Steiner education, depends on dragging art and music into the educational process. The Waldorf Philosophy uses “Eurythmy ” which is the art of movement developed by Rudolf Steiner.

Mayson’s Education

Charlotte Mason is a British educationalist that dedicated her whole life into fighting for an equal education for all children. In the year 1900, she fought to make educational opportunities available for everyone, not only the bourjous children of wealth.

This is why she established her own educational method that states that every child is a grown individual who has the capabilities to learn through three main aspects: Environment – Discipline – Life.

All the previously mentioned educational methods have aspired to change the learning scene by getting out of the box and into a system where learning is fun, where information is not just fed to children in order to be summarized but to be well-taught and understood. This is why we are inviting you to try better ways of education in order to bring up a thoughtful, aware, and sophisticated generation.
