STEAM is an educational system designed to integrate these five educational subjects into the basic curriculum, blending and connecting them.<\/p>\n<h2>The importance of applying this system<\/h2>\n<p>STEAM prepares students\u2019 minds to deal with contemporary science and arts. As well as preparing and qualifying them for future jobs that require scientific expertise in those areas that are necessary today in many business fields. It includes all fields related to engineering, technology, science, arts, and mathematics. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, jobs in science, technology, and mathematics grew by 17 percent in 2018, nearly twice as high as non-STEAM areas, and the projected growth of jobs related to STEAM would reach 9 percent by 2024, compared with 6.4 percent for non-STEAM jobs.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;14721&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>How is this system integrated into the main curriculum?<\/h2>\n<p>STEAM is different from other traditional educational systems in that it does not rely on memorizing and indoctrination. But to deal with realistic attitudes and creative methods of problem-solving learning. This is by actually integrating the problem and working to solve it. In doing so, it develops the scientific and practical experience of students in each of the five scientific fields in a sophisticated and effective manner. It also targets students from various primary, preparatory, and secondary levels to attend university studies specializing in these sciences. It also stimulates and develops the skills of surveying, analysis, negotiation, and critical and creative thinking among students, making the best benefits in the mentioned areas. Science and technology are explained and taught in terms of engineering with all its majors based on mathematical elements and calculations to achieve the joy of learning. In the preparatory stage, the curriculum focuses on teaching mathematics, with intensive study of technology through experimentation laboratories, simulation, manufacturing, industrial arts, arts and Computer-aided design (CAD), and. Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM).<\/p>\n<p>At the high school level, it focuses on teaching mathematics, chemistry, and physics.
